Here are some pictures of Kinngait Or Cape Dorset. The reason for the name change is that Kinngait is the original name of the town. Before it was changed to Cape Dorset and in 2020 was voted back to the original Inuit name. Kinngait means where the hills are. Funny story as there is a picture of it above. When I got off the plane and was getting a ride into town. The guys from the office immediately drove by this hill and they asked me what it looked like. I laughed and said it looked like a giant bosom. They said that is a polite way of saying it, but they call it mount tittee. Just a reminder to everyone out there that Inuit is plural, and Inuk is the singular term. You can also see the ocean in the pictures and there is a shot of Kinngait in the summer. There is also a picture of the main office. Next post will be about shopping.
